General English Course 

Designed for students age 16 + to improve their general level of English.  Refresher courses for academic or vocational purposes.

Executive Business English Course 

Provides business managers and professionals with training to improve language skills. 1:1 or small group total immersion training. Intensive residential courses from 3 days to 3 weeks.

Exam Preparation Course

Gives you the preparation and revision to pass internationally recognised English Language exams, including:

  • Cambridge Exams
  • FCE – First Certificate
  • CAE – Advanced Certificate
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • TOEIC (Test of English in Communication)

English with Culture Course 

This cultural course is tailored to your needs. Lessons are spent discussing Literature and the Arts.Three accompanied afternoon or evening excursions each week are arranged around your interests.

This course gives you a flavour of English cooking at its best. Lessons are spent discussing ideas for meals, looking through books, magazines and the internet for suggestions, visiting local producers and shopping for food. In the afternoon we enjoy cooking together on the AGA in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen

Further Study 

Online Skype and Zoom lessons enable you to continue your studies when you return home.

Fabio from Ticino, in Switzerland, had a General English Course  –  6 hours a day for 3 weeks.  We welcome his son, Patrik, for  English lessons next summer!

Luca from Rome, in Italy,  had a General English Course  – 4 hours a day for 2 weeks.  He had a 2 Skype lessons a week, for 10 weeks, when he went home.

Now we teach his niece, Sofia, 2 hours of speaking and listening each week for 10 weeks.

Mirja from Germany had a General English Course – 6 hours a day for 3 weeks. She returned the next year for an Exam Revision Course  – 6 hours a day for 10 days – ( Cambridge Advanced)

Now I  teach her sister Franca, 10 hours of A Level English each month.

  • 2:30 – 7.00 free time, private study, time / activity with Carol / Brian
  • 7:30 – 8.30 – dinner
  • 8:30 – free time, private study
